Hi Family,

Glory and honor to our God whose Mercy endures forerver!

Most of you know I was diagnosed with diabetes about a year ago. It was a wake up call for me to eat healthier and to exercise again. I invite you to join me on Sparkpeople.com. This is the second time I have used it to track my eating and exercise. It is doing wonders for me. (Thanks Ran) Raniele tracked her eating and exercising to lose weight a few years ago. Our friend and neighbor has joined me).

Charlie has been real supportive by example and encouragement.( Thanks, T.- I love you, Babe) We I have been challenging one another by doing Wii Fit - (Thanks, MIchael). We also use exercise tapes, riding bike outside and encourages me to use my Gazelle (and to not let it continue to be my clothes rack). So we have been mixing the exercise up and both are feeling and looking better.

I went to the doctor to day. I have lost 11 lbs so far this year. My glucose is higher than we would like. I will try to get it lower this month if not meds will need to be increased. I was hoping the weight lost would get it under control. But all is well. Today when my BP was taken it was 96/68. Exercise is helping ! It was 121/72.

Do you know your numbers ? Know what the healthy numbers are, too. Please go to the doctor for a physical and get your numbers checked: Fasting Glucose, Blood Pressure, Cholesterol, prostate, HDL/LDL and triglicyrides.

Let us love, support and encouragement one another to continue improving our lifestyle.
Mostly I want you all to have better health. I know it has to come when you are ready. My neighbor - always ask me to join her in walking. (Thanks, Bren) But I have had to find the way again my way. Remember when I was the encourager on those 5:30 am mornings - (Barb - you have been consistent! Still walking regularly. )

Anyway, I may blog on www.Sparkpeople.com or on www.deasjoy.blogspot.com to talk about health, nutrition or whatever comes to mine to encourage and uplift us.

All of you whom I love dearly!
